Open Question: I've been searching for my old fiend from Australia.?
My old friend's name is Ingrid Sauben. We had lived in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. I lost contact with her since 1995.
If you know her, please to inform me via my email address mona.silitonga@yahoo.com
Open Question: Scott Rush is due to executed but by an Indonesian court but what would happen if we simply said no?
Please for clemency have been ignored
Appeals turned down
Even the Australia government wants him home.
You facing a firing squad for carrying drugs on you... the crime does not fit the punishment.
-Further complementing the manner is Indonesia is not long civilized and receaives a large amount of funding from Australia. They probably wouldnt even have a court if it wasnt for us so.
What would happen if Australia simply busted him out, said piss of indonesia you poor country if you dont like it will stop giving you money and yeah... Not like these small brown mud would do anything about it I doubt they even have a plane.
So why not just confrontation ally take him away from indonesia? What would happen diplomatically (keep in mind they cant go to war with us and they get tones of money from us)
They would give us a stern talking too?

Open Question: Why is it that Obama is unable to ?
Why is it that Obama is unable to recall anything that Jermiah Wright said during the 20 years that Obama sat as an adult in his Church but Obama can recall and recite in fluent Arabic the Muslim Call to Prayer that he was taught when he attended a Muslim School in Indonesia many years ago as a youth for no more than 20 months and which Obama still refers to as ' one of the prettiest sounds on Earth as sunset ' ?
Open Question: Recommend a reputable tour for Indonesia?
I'm thinking of going to SE Asia, and I wanted to do Indonesia. Can anyone recommend a good, reputable, but not too expensive tour company for Indonesia? I'm not looking for anything fancy, just a guide and internal transportation for maybe 4 days, 5 at the most. Something like GAP or Intrepid (but unfortunately both don't offer tours shorter than 7-9 days). I would really like to do Mt. Bromo. Or is backpacking Indonesia by yourself easy and doable?

Open Question: If Islam is supposed to be such an easy religion like the quran says, then why is the indoctrination?
process so long and arduous?
This from the point of view of living in Indonesia for the last couple years.
The kids study islam in every school whether it is a madrassa, govt. or other private school.
They have text books texts and lessons on how to pray... tests on how to pray. looking at my friends kids text book on praying alone.
Im sure if god is a real thing he wouldn't have required a text book to learn how to pray. LOL
The best thing that could happen to te world is the abolition of organized religion and push it back to private home bound worship.
I keep my opinions to myself. There are open minded people here that it is possible to have a critical conversation with.
exactly so wy waste those very important formative years on religion and instead focus on useful things like academics. give the kid the true intelligence to choose his religion later if he so so desires religion.

Resolved Question: Why Cricket is not a popular game in most of the countries?
specially in the big countries like USA, brazil, argentina, phlipine, indonesia, mexico, china, japan etc..
Open Question: Do cons and libertarians worry about the lack of examples of successful countries with their policies?
Liberals can always point to the large number of countries that have higher taxes and more government spending than the US, and say "look, these countries get more vacations, work less hours, have universal healthcare (which is more efficient than ours), have better educated students than us (despite having public education), and they have GDP growth rates that are similar to ours."
Canada, Sweden, Germany, France, Norway, Denmark, etc. the list goes on and on. Sure they don't have as many billionaires but they have less extreme poverty too and lower inequality.
What do conservatives and libertarians have as examples? What do you use?
Certainly there are some developing countries that have grown faster after liberalizing, but they are all much poorer than Western Europe or Canada and are likely to remain so for a very long time. I doubt many conservatives would point to China or India or Indonesia or Chile as their model economy to emulate.
I suppose Hong Kong is a decent candidate, as Milton Friedman and others supported it, but it does have a lot of social welfare spending and while it has no income tax, the government pays for all these social programs by owning all the land in the country and leasing to private users.
The government owning all land doesn't seem like something cons or libertarians would generally support.
So is the booming, prosperous economy (with benefits for all, or most) that you believe would occur with deep cuts in spending and taxes just a utopian ideal? Or are there some actual examples you would use? [Can you do it without using US history? The biggest expansion of government and of the economy happend at the same time from post WWII to the 1950s-1970s (when the top marginal tax rate was very high), and Clinton who raised taxes oversaw the largest expansion in jobs and the stock market and economic growth since then.]
I wasn't born in the US (Singapore actually).
I asked for examples, don't tell me there are many examples.
I agree that all communist economies failed - you need a private sector and incentives for innovation and to work hard. But no American liberal ever says we should be more like the Soviet Union or Cuba. We usually agree that those are examples of excessive government intervention. Your standard American liberal wants to emulate Sweden, not Soviet Russia.
Greece is a better example of a failed state with a big government, but citing it doesn't exactly answer my question. And Greece is still much better off than most third world countries that have low taxes and spending, despite their financial crisis.
So I see lots of examples of so-called liberal economies failing (really communists, not social democracies with private property and a large private sector). And a claim that Clinton got lucky (fair enough, I sort of agree there). But no positive examples. Anyone?
Open Question: Indonesian stomach bug help!?
I went on an adventure holiday very recently to the islands of Java and Bali in Indonesia which involved many long days out in the hot sun and temperatures over 30 degrees. About half way through the holiday I became very sick with a raging fever that came on suddenly in the middle of the night. I would feel boiling hot one moment and freezing cold, shivery and weak the next. Over the course of the next few days I developed terrible stomach cramps that meant I could not even get out of bed as well as a persistent feeling of nausea and the inability to keep any food, tablets or liquid down for longer than half an hour. The problems seemed to last for three days and then eased on the fourth and so I was able to continue with my holiday with only mild discomfort. The stomach cramps were still present though and occurred every time I ate anything more than a small bowl of soup. Now, ten days after my 'recovery' and two days after returning home my symptoms have suddenly reappeared in much the same way that they did in Indonesia - raging fever followed by stomach pain and nausea. I have a doctors appointment for tomorrow morning but I am very worried that this may be something more than a simple stomach upset due to the sudden recurrence. I would be very grateful if anyone could shed some light on what this could be, or recommend anything that they think would be good for me to eat/drink in this situation as I have not eaten properly for days and find it very difficult to keep anything down for long.
Just some background information - I have no previously-diagnosed medical conditions and I have been taking the malaria tablets prescribed for me by my doctor (Chloroquinine and Proguanil) and have not missed a dose. I have taken both of these malaria tablets before with no bad reaction and so I am doubtful that it is the malaria tablets causing my problems. I have also had all recommenden immunisations for travelling to Indonesia.
Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

Open Question: regional variation of employment structure in indonesia?
please anyone!
help me! i got a report tomorrow and i'm supposed to include this.
i've been searching all around the net but i can't find anything about this
Resolved Question: Why dont people realise that?
Most of the People around the World Muslim or non-Muslim HATE the American Government? Europeans, Asians Africans hate the USA afcoruse not all but most.
Has the Media really gotten into your little sheep heads to make you think that Muslims hate the USA because of there Democracy and Freedom?
People hate the USA for its Forgein Policies, simple as.
The USA has intervened into 72 Countries since WW2, they have removed democratically elected Governments to install Dictators that are extremely ruthless and merciless and Murderers.
They overthrew democratically elected Governments in South America, Chile, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Venezuela, Cuba, Haiti.
They overthrew governments in the Middle east, Iran in the 1950's, and aiding Saddam and his colleagues in the overthrow of Iraq
They aid Israel in its oppression against the Palestinians
They aid corrupt Governments in the Middle east, Mubarak in Egypt is for an example.
Which this USA forgein policies has frustarted the Middle easterns so that they actualy become Terrorists and commited horrid crimes like 9/11 and 7/7
They Overthrew governments in South Asia Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia and many more
they aided Pol pot in Cambodia in his exile... Pol pot the guy who was almost like Hitler by massacring 2 Million cambodians and force laboring people, and tortures.
I am not saying that i Support Terrorism that is hitting the USA, all that i am saying is that the USA is not so innocent and nor are the Terrorists.
kpk02 or 20 Muslims have hated before the USA have they? lol
every naiton has had its Bad and Good people in it, no nation is so innocent.
but i see the Muslims as the leats bloody throughout their History.
If you really think Muslims kill people because their non-muslims then please explain to me why is there a huge population of Christians in the Middle east like in Egypt, lebanon?
Why did the Muslims invite the Jews from Europe etc to come into Palestine?
Why did the Muslims and Jews united and defeated any oppressor who came by like the Byzantine Roman Empire and the crusaders.
Terran Muslims hate the USA because it does not have the Sharia law?
IN MIDDLE EASTERN COUNTRIES THEY DO NOT HAVE THE SHARIA LAW!!!!
Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco.
so why arent Terrorist fixtated onto these countries instead of the USA and Britian?

terran no they are not
I have lived in Egypt for 3 years and it was not under Sharia Law.
you have never lived in the Middle eats and i have.
terran the Christians and Jews which live in the Middle eastern countries do not have to pay that kind of Tax you are talking about
terran again.
Muslims are not attacking Christian Homes...
where in the hell are Christians being attacked by Muslims in Egypt or lebanon which have a high population of Christians?
LTM the USA is not the good side, actualy it would be gerat if the USA nor any other country in the world to invtervene in any country.
There would not be Bloodshed with the USA?
are you seruise?
so all this Bloodshed that is happening because of the US Imperliaisim is nothing?
The Middle east, South America and Asia will be better off without the Americans and i gaurantee that.
of all the countries the USA has intervened in there has always been a dictator that has been slotted in who is very corrupt and ruthless.
It is happening right now in Afghanistan.
Hamid... the president of Afghanistan a very corrupt figure and a dictator who still uses the same rulea as the Taliban and even more, not only that he steals the money from the Public and Aid and sells Opium for profits as british and American reports show
and LTm what tough decisions? the USA is the Number 1 powerful country in the world it is capable of doing anything the only thing that stops it from imperlising even more is the Public Opinion and opposition and everyday it is increasing.
The USA did not have to aid saddam, it did not have to Aid pol Pot? It did not have to aid dictators, it did not have to help remove and directly remove democratically elected governments, it did not have to invade countries just because they chose to pick to use their natural resources to help their country instead of selling a huge amount of it
and the USA and the UK did not have to kick out the Diego Garcians out of there land and then not give them the right to return to their land EVEN AFETR THEY HAD WON THEIR CASE IN COURT!
LTM who are you comparing the US to? your saying the USA is better in comaprison, to who may i ask?
Russia? Nope
China? Nope
Britain? Nope
Hitler? Yes and No, yes because the American government is not as bad as Hitler in the killings and no because they have done and helped people do similare things like Pol Pot of Khmer Rouge who commited genocide by killing 2 Million Cambodians, and Force laboring the rest of the population and torturing.
